Big Booze has got its way and successfully warned Cricket Australia off Big Health. (Come on. Anyone who swallows CA's anonymous spokesman's line that Healthway was knocked back solely "because it conflicted with our continuing position on the relationship between alcohol and sport, which is one of consumption in moderation" and not because CUB had a quiet word in CA's shell-like, I have a gold plated Boonie Doll for you.)
Health groups hit out as cricket chiefs bat for alcohol ads
Cricket Australia has refused to run an advertisement telling fans that ''alcohol and sport don't mix'', on the grounds it thinks they can mix perfectly well.
Healthway, the major sponsor of the Western Australian Cricket Association, was offered advertising along with all the other major state team sponsors at the Ryobi Cup one-day competition.
But the group was told its advertisement was not appropriate as it could impact on "other partners" of the game, said Mike Daube, from the McCusker Centre for Alcohol and Youth.
"This is appalling censorship by Cricket Australia."
Less censorship, more brand management.

Speaking of sponsors, I just saw the promos for the Ashes tour, with a lot of Aussie cricketers who, for some inexplicable reason, are covered in dirt, yet looking meaningfully at the camera in slow mo.
I was wondering if a soap or washing powder manufacturer might be looking to sponsor them.
As a side issue, it was a bit hard at first to see the dirt because of all the tatts on the arms.
