Ok, so everyone is stacks on Little Jimmy Anderson: Will Swanton described him perfectly as a "sledge-crazed paceman"; Crash Craddock (reading between his lines) thinks Jimmy's an imbecile; and Stuey Clark credits Jimmy with restoring Australia's mojo.
The first three Tests have been accompanied by quite a few articles on sledging as Anderson, Pietersen, Prior and the Australians have engaged in moutho-e-moutho combat. But if there is one article bound to lure out the Sydney pack, it is this one:
Stifled aggression limits Australian performance
Marsh added: ''I didn't see much wrong with the behaviour of the team during that Indian series, and I certainly don't now, but I do see a lot of irony in how some in the public and media react to the behaviour of the team depending on whether we are winning or losing.''
It is hard to see how a taunt like that will not provoke a rash of "there is only one side playing cricket out there" and "noble adversary" and "intemperate Sikh warrior" and " wild dogs" and the rest.
