"I told myself to give up slamming Murali when he retired, but ..."

"Nick knack paddy whack give a Tone a bone,
this old curmudgeon came rolling home.
He went to bed to mend his head with vinegar and brown paper.
Murali be nimble, Murali be quick. Murali jumped over the middle stump.
And the tailenders came wandering after."

(With apologies to Ern Malley and Fred Titmus.)

And if you can make any sense out of that then you're a better bowler than I am Gunga Din.

Bring on the nunchuckas. (Where are the Catholic cricketers when you need them?)

Cheering on Bill O'Rielly against Don Bradman.

Professor Rosseforp

Have left my usual tirades on the website about Murali. The website includes interesting reading, in that issues are being discussed without getting too much into the racism jibes, and even Murali supporters saying his action is dodgy.

Excellent work over there.

The reason I am reluctant to further engage in the debate is that I have said just about everything that has ever been said about chucking, and then said it again. You can only repeat something so many times, so many times.

Lou

Unless it's about Michael Clarke and 20/20. Then too much is never enough, to steal from Roy and HG.

Big Ramifications

The reason I am reluctant to further engage in the debate is that I have said just about everything that has ever been said about chucking, and then said it again.

I hear ya, sister.

I hit up author Geoff Lemon with a bit of "you are an idiot" action. Not surprisingly, my comment didn't get past the "awaiting moderation" stage, but I still felt good about venting.

The fact that I was 40-50 comments into the debate is my excuse for acting like a "boor." Half a dozen eloquent commenters had said all that needed to be said.

The Don has Risen

hey I put a copyright on that but it was only a throw away line
