This morning on 3AW, Tony Shaw was accidentally funny:
"There were even some batts that contained thalidomide, the chemical responsible for birth defects."
Thalidomide?
Imported insulation batts 'reeked of formaldehyde'
The Federal Government's insulation program is facing more questions after claims that it was warned some imported insulation batts reeked of the toxic chemical formaldehyde.
Even taking into account AW's imbo demographic, since when is Tony Shaw anyone's idea of a social commentator?
You mean the ex-pie Tony Shaw?

The same.

'Mirth Defect' so apt.
Nothing funny about thalidomide, or funny about inept regulation, or funny about footballers discussing non-football topics.
Nothing funny about the huge amount of stuff imported here from CHINA where no 'safety regulation'** can be trusted (or anything else really).
**lead paint on toys, melamine in dried milk ... The masses intent on buying cheaply, not realising the higher price to be paid in ways other than cash.

How about melamine on toys and lead paint in dried milk.

Other roofs may contain Vegemite, Marmite, or even Kerangamite.

And diorite.

Conversation around the house last night:
BARON: I'm going to Mildura on March 24.
ME: When's that?
I think I might be turning into a 3AW talkback caller.
Posted by: TimT | 25 February 2010 at 09:31
Well, to be fair to you, Tim, the Baron didn't say what year.

Was listening to a 3AW Sports Tonite replay and straight off the bat Healy and Shaw were talking about Jeff Kennett and the free agency debate. The very first caller (ie no time constraints for quick calls etc..):
Healy "let's hear your thoughts on Jeff Kennett, is he right or wrong. To Clayton, Theo".
Theo "No"
Healy "No what?"
Theo "He's wrong"
Healy "He's wrong?....thank you Theo"
There should be far more talkback, it makes me feel very superior.

Not in it an essence.
I am final, I am sorry, but it at all does not approach me. Perhaps there are still variants?

It is remarkable, this amusing message......
blah, blah, blah, blah... yes, that's right, I have buttted into your comment like you keep butting into my blog, and, just like all your other stupid comments, I've ripped out the email address and URL.

Ohhh, fuck off, comrade.
Once or twice is worth a giggle, but in case you never noticed when you clicked onto my blog - not yours - I didn't invite you here to smear this corner of the internet with your stupid comments.
Go and bother some other site. Better still: give it up. Find something to do with your time that doesn't involve taking my blog for granted, you cvnt.
