Will Gary Ablett, just like Chris Judd at West Coast, quit Gee-Long because of its culture of drugs and disgrace?
Stokes stood down after drugs charges
GEELONG forward Mathew Stokes has been suspended by the Cats from all club activities after being changed with trafficking and possessing cocaine.
Stokes, 25, was charged after drug raids on four properties in the Geelong area last Friday and appeared in Geelong Magistrates Court on Wednesday afternoon.
He was released on bail to reappear in March.
Where there's smoke, there's crack pipes.
Adrian Anderson certainly hammered the point about WADA and drug trafficking. "Under the WADA code, the standard penalties for trafficking range from four years suspension to a lifetime ban." Sounds like the AFL, although not 100% WADA compliant with their "three strikes" clause, have already decided who will take the responsibility for Stokes' punishment.
Will Chris Judd quit Carlton because of its culture of drinking and disgrace?
Will he be sufficiently self-aware to acknowledge that trouble seems to be following him and is he part of the problem?

He's as self-aware as him mum allows him to be.

Who would've ever thought that, of Ben Cousins and Chris Judd, it seems that it is Chris Judd who has trouble tail him to a second club, while Cousins has (almost) turned into a model citizen and club leader.

Juddy flew over to be in the bridal party for Daniel Kerr’s wedding at Aquinas College the other day.
Surprised me a great deal given the RUMOURS he left the club because of the shenanigans [I've never heard it close to being confirmed - but it's taken as given on the blogosphere] and given Kerr must have been BEE’S DICK away from getting the sack like Cousins.
The intercepted phone call between him and a known drug dealer is an absolute classic. I’ll see if I can dig it up. One bit goes something like:
[Dealer] Can you get me a pair of those gloves?
[Kerr] Like the one’s Troy Wilson uses?
[Dealer] Yeah. I want ’em for me hands.
Thanks for that clarification, genius.

No surprise here. Judd and Kerr were best mates at the club, and obviously remain so.
And all the while Judd was there Kerr got up to quite a bit of mischief. The drug he purchased from the dealer was Ketamine, from memory.
yep - memory holds up well - http://www.abc.net.au/pm/content/2007/s1880247.htm
Certainly shows that Judd has little influence on his mates as far as pulling them into line goes. I think the off-field shenanigans excuse is exactly that. The reason he left had everything to do with folding stuff.
Selwood on the other hand came straight out and said - any more shit goes down, and he's leaving. Didn't mince words.

Nice call!
"Big bag of horse chaff" I think was the code used on the intercepted calls. If my memory is as good as yours.
I'll go further and guess vets use Ketamine on horses[?] so swap "horse tranquiliser" with something innocent like "horse chaff" and there you have it. Ketamine = horse chaff.
Feer my mad decoding skillz.

Awesome. Just clicked on your link.
How funny is the "yeah just for me hands comment"? What a farking dill. Reminds me of an ABC story/doco I saw a few years back. Some under cover copper had infiltrated the scene in Perth.
This is around the time informants were given new identities, yet turning up dead in QLD safe houses. This copper's mission mysteriously got pulled. The thing I remember most about the story is that he was pissed off because he said they were all ABSOLUTE MORONS and how dull it was to be around them.
He lamented all he did for a year was hang out with them and talk complete bullshit the whole time. Used to bore him to tears, he said. And all for naught.

Selwood's cool with the Eags now, he'll be their next captain.

The dickheads have either left (Cuz/Chick/Edwards/Gardy) or pulled their heads in (Kerr) or grown up (Lynchy).

nothing is more disgasting then drugs trafficing. and drugs have nothing in common with the calture..even though people who use it think that they just discovered the secret...cocke is just bullshit your mind...

"cocke is just bullshit your mind..."
A new contender for f&^k nut loose lol I believe.
So what's the state of play after the first couple of NAB Cup games? Essendon will beat nearly all the sides below them, and lose to nearly all the sides above them, sitting them around 9th-10th I reckon. West Coast will win a lot at home but lose a lot away. Port are good when everything is going there way but will have a couple of brain fades to lowly sides this year, whilst Adelaide I'm not sure about this year. Hawthorn are back, and Richmond will probably finish bottom three after that performance. The Tiges dont have the skill to play that possession footy, or the forward line to bomb it long, so I don't know what they will do.
I did like Dustin Martin though, hes a lock for my Supercoach team this year at this stage.

Thinking it was spam I was halfway through dumping Chael's comment, but then I realised it was funny and needed preserving.
Tiges were dreadful.

"Thinking it was spam I was halfway through dumping Chael's comment, but then I realised it was funny and needed preserving."
I do love ESL speakers/mail... always a challenge to dis-assemble the words and re-assemble them to something understandable. Fast becoming my hobby here in Tokyo.
God love 'em for trying though!
"Tiges were dreadful."
No change there then, what a suprise.
My favorite Tigers t-shirt says "Where were you when we were sh!t"... from that 1 recent season that we actually made the finals.
