I would prefer disproportionate coverage of Sheffield Shield cricket; just like the old days. Each state should have their Shield team's match broadcast all day with absolutely no interruptions, and especially interviews, from the NBL, WNBL, motor racing, netball, athletics, bowls, rowing, cycling, tennis or horse racing.
Just an expected consequence of trying to be all things to all people, with said all people paying 7 cents a day each. Why not just have one guy at each game with a laptop and an internet connection?
OT : I see Watto and Tait have put themselves up for IPL auction 2 : A New Hope. Regardless of my interest in seeing how much savvy Indians will pay for damaged goods, surely their current employer, Cricket Australia, will have something to say about their moonlighting (given their circumstances).
Apparently Steve Harmison has 'earned' about $25000 per Test Wicket - this is seen as a bad thing by Mike Atherton. How much has Paper Cut cost CA?

Paper Cut has been massively unlucky with, well, paper cuts, etc; he has talent.
Harmison is a flake. It shits me that him, left-arm straight Gilo and Hack Jones were members of the Pommy team that fluked the Ashes. Why couldn't The Englands have won with a few Holdings, Ambroses (not Tim) and Wasim Akrams?
Tait's action, when he's not chucking, lacks the requisite repeatability to be a long term prospect as a Test bowler. Prove me wrong, Larry!
If Paper Cut injures himself during the IPL, will CA sue him for breach of contract? If he does not perform, and does not get injured, will his IPL team take action for him not trying? If Tait can perform for $ in India, why could he not perform here? If he is depressed/ill/Trescothicked, is IPL part of his CA sanctioned treatment program?
Harmison got his wickets by surprising the batsmen with a ball that landed on the cut portion. The worst case was when he bowled a legside 'ODI wide' to Ponting who feathered it through to Jones...it makes me sick just typing...
The Hopgood Cup if you are fortunate enough to be a Melbourne supporter.

ABC Grandstand should do live coverage of the Moomba procession. Weel suited for it.

The home of disproportionate coverage of Sheffield Shield cricket. There are more minutes dedicated to it than actual attendances at the games.

The Reply, Episode 1
Apparently the point to Grandstand is to make sure the Strayan public is up to speed with lesser profile sports.
Or maybe it's used to keep the Mitchell family in a paying gig.

Shield cricket on the radio would be great. I think they still do ball-by-ball coverage of WA's matches on ABC Perth.

Yes they do David, Clint Wheeldon is making quite a name for himself doing so.
