AFL player Broadbridge missing in Phuket
AFL footballer Troy Broadbridge from the Melbourne Football Club is missing in Phuket.
Broadbridge was on his honeymoon with wife Trisha in Phuket, one of several areas wiped out by the Indian Ocean tsunami, the club said in a statement.
The club said Trisha was safe, but that the 24-year-old defender was still missing.
"It is devastating, Troy is a great player and team mate, our thoughts are with his family and wife Trisha," Melbourne chief executive Steve Harris said in a statement.
"We all feel particularly helpless at this time as all we can do is sit and wait for news."
A chaplain has been made available to all players and staff.
Absolutely devestating. I'm in shock.

Dammit.
Just too close to home.
Thoughts and prayers for Troy and all the missing Aussies.

Hey Cousin of Mine. though we hardly spent anytime together, all your family members from the POST side are in shock with regards to you and all the other victims of this tragic event. I'll do what ever i can to help Wayne and Pam, your parents and your brother and sisters in any way i can.
May you rest in peace and enjoy playing footy with the greats in heaven.
