The patron saint of the AGB, Mitch Buchanan alias Michael Knight alias David Hasselhof -- they're all real to me -- is in the news again. He's been a bad boy and got hisself into a spot of bother.
Baywatch star drink-drive sentenceUS actor David Hasselhoff, known for his role on the television series Baywatch, was sentenced today on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Hasselhoff, 52, pleaded no contest to charges in a Van Nuys, California courtroom, stemming from a June 5 arrest in Encino.
The actor did not appear in court. Instead, his lawyer entered the plea to the charge of driving with a blood-alcohol level above 0.08, according to the prosecutor's office.
The judge sentenced Hasselhoff to three years' probation and revoked his driver's licence for 90 days. He must also attend an alcohol treatment program and perform 200 hours of community work.
Hasselhoff was treated for alcohol problems at the Betty Ford Centre in June 2002, according to local television CBS2.
The actor was also known for his role in the television series Knight Rider.
(Thanks Artee - a fellow fan of the great men ... err ... man)
Harry's right, your titles are really quite punning.

Thanks, Simon. If Harry says so, they must be. He's a wise man. For a Mexican jailbird. Now that makes two of you who are wise. Have you ever been in a South American penitentiary?

I read about it on a blog once...

Hold on a minute - was Mr Hasselhoff actually driving the car, or had Kit taken control? The public has a right to know...

Hasselhoff's star has somewhat faded recently, could it be that politics is his new career move. It certainly won't be his bloody 'singing' .

You think the judge would have taken into account that he ended the cold war. The man deserves a little credit.

Very true, Emily. I'd forgotten about that. It's sad, but great deeds often go unappreciated.
