The standard offie goes one way, the doosra the other. That means unless someone develops a delivery that goes backwards there's only one other way to go, and it looks like Darren Lehmann's perfected it -- straight.
Lehmann stars in big cricket win
A big Australian win over Zimbabwe gave the second one-day cricket match a more familiar ring to it, but a remarkable all-round performance from Darren Lehmann provided the big surprise.
Lehmann made 67 in Australia's total of 8-323 and then took a career-best 4-7 from 27 balls to help skittle Zimbabwe for 184 as the world champions won by 139 runs to take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-three series.
For all the gloomster's predictions of disaster, the Zims have performed pretty reasonably so far.
Christ, not sure about the oppo in these games. I reckon i've met stiffer opponents during some of last summers park matches!! Boofa 4 for 7?? A burgeoning career as a spinner on the horizon mebbe ? Not. This is cash your chips in time for some of our blokes, you have to feel sorry for the Zims and their young guys. The Blacks are not so immersed in a cricketing culture when they are growing up and a heck of a lot of time is needed for them to develop and grow into players of an International calibre. The young skip will be a top player in a few years though.
