Read papers. Wondered why Red Symons' narky sister is newsworthy. Drank coffee. Ate eggs. Watched a strange game. I did. Odd sport. Kids with sticks.
I went out and scooped an original American release copy of the Beach Boy's All Summer Long / California Girls double compilation album. Still sealed in factory condition. It was hand made y'know. By a gnarly old craftsman with a lathe. No kidding. It was. Takes some rare skill to etch those songs in. Just like last weekend's pick up of Five Leaves Left. After that I snaffled a copy of Morricone's spag slasher soundtrack, Quattro Mosche Di Velluto Grigio. Anyone catch the Argento doco on Friday night? He's a gun. Co-wrote the best movie of all time.
There was also a football game on. I didn't see any. D'ya hear? None. So I can't talk about it. Not a bit of it. I don't know nothing about it. I didn't see it. I just didn't see anything. I didn't get texted four times. Not once. Not then. Not ever. I didn't.
I believe the Grand Finalists from last season also covered themselves with glory this Sunday, bloody Sunday.
Ah, a man after my own heart ... "Once Upon a Time in the West". One of the best opening scenes ever. (Though have a soft sqooshy spot for the first film I ever saw, "Shane". Jack Pallance the best "black hat" ever ... more "black glove" actually.)

Saw him last night in Arrowhead, Sedge. Playing an nasty redskin warrior type. An almost silly 50's A-Western. Needed Ben Johnson. And a bit less ponderous dialogue.
That opening scene, Charlie.B and the three gunsels....
Harmonica - "Dja bring a horse for me?"
Elam (Head gunsel) - "Well, heh heh, looks like we're shy one horse"
Harmonica - "Nope. Ya brought two too many."
Soo! Poib!

You seem to be handling your football withdrawal symptoms extremely well....

I heard Red refute in fine style this morning - beginning with: "What?!...What?!...What are you staring at!..." La sister was indeed la cross.
And that's a fine record you bought there. That first one.
Gr8 songs U'no.

Football Leesa? What's that?
Did he really say "la-that", B'la?

No that was me.
But in the 2 hours 15 mins he did respond to the family squabbles media splash with characteristic wit and, in this case, judicious restraint. Eg (to paraphrase)
‘yes I confess. I’m an egoist. Someone in the media an egoist? Now that’s big! There’s a scoop for you.’

Top work by the Redman. Like his style. Still can't work out why the Sunday Hun had to run it. Must have been a very very slow news day.
