Slatts off to Hats for his headline: RIP Snorter. Excellent. At first I thought he was going to wax lyrical on that other great man, the director of the Porky's, recently killed in a car crash. He'll be missed by those who believe more movies ought to be aimed at teenagers to capitalize on their refined taste.

POOFREADING

It says in the papers that Alan Jones is a conservative who wears pink shirts, or words to that effect. They also reveal Jones taught at a private school and that a former pupil once accused him of coaching rugby.

Scandalous, sure, just not totally scandalous.

My private school actively encouraged you to become a conservative or a left winger, depending on your preference. And even though it wasn't part of the core curriculum, our wearing of pink shirts program turned out some of the best and brightest.

But only the wankers played rugby; the rest of us had standards.
