The internet age seems to have dulled the reflexive tendencies of not just the Professionally Outraged, but pretty much everyone else, too.
Friday night during the Essendon Collingwood match Dennis Cometti used "NFI" in response to why a mark had not been paid, and yet I’ve since heard nothing about it in the media.
Cometti has previously used NFI for "no free incurred" and he would probably tender that as an explanation were he questioned about it this time, but NFI for a mark is NQR.
Surely someone thinks he is sailing close to the wind.

I know they're contrived, I know he lies awake at night thinking them up, but damn it all they're good:
"...Sandilands, like a grizzly bear repairing a watch..."

"OMG LOL WTF BBQ" used to make me laugh. A perfectly constructed sh*t hang on the leetspeak-using set. A bit on the "get off my lawn" side of things, I suppose.
Once when the Dockers’ Andrew Shipp fluffed a disposal and it ended up with one of the Shaw boys, Den instantly blurted out "Shipp to Shaw." There was much groaning and gnashing of teeth and all ’round "Good one Den, bet that one kept you up all night just thinking about using it" from his fellow commentators.
FWIW, I reckon Den’s toned it down a bit this season. He just seems to make me wince less.

on 3AW Mike Sheahan just asked Dennis about NFI. Dennis said it was "No Football Idea".
