Was at the game on Friday night and Jurrah did enough to impress, with distinctive defensive skills to match his other attributes. Melbourne had their moments too. Why isn't Linden Dunn (ex-Moonee Valley FC) getting a game at the moment? Bombers upcoming matches are against Tweedledee and Tweedledum. The (dual) hate that dare not speak its name.
LL: Dunn is playing for the Scorps. If you ask me, he's a bit of a dud.
Biggy: Wonna did his hammy in the pre-season (he was looking good, too, at least for the few minutes he had been out there), then did his knee first game back. Will be out for the majority of the year.
Thanks – I don't get to follow the footy nearly as much as I'd like to these past coupla years. Can't believe I missed that news.
Hope he doesn't become a Lance Whitnall, constantly battling weight issues and associated derision and scuttlebutt on teh interimnets forums. Certainly looked way too tubby the few times I saw him play.
He'll be alright if he doesn't go all Jeffrey Farmer on you and start looking to the heavens after slotting one from 15m out or giving it the "look at moi's". Wonaemirri unfortunately has a touch of the Wizzes, as does the whole Fremantle team after Jeffrey got hold of them.
Not that I'm against celebrations, but I'd rather them if you kick the game winner, not 10 minutes into the first term like J.F used to do.
P.S - Apparently the turtle is no good up north waist wise. Whitnall must have gone to the Galapagos for his footy trip each season then.
The celebrations don't compare. Wonna's are spontaneous joy, while Wizard's seemed the angry explosions of a bitter man. Once, Wizard's were fun, but something went wrong. He should have stayed at Melbourne.
Maybe it's a Freo thing. I've always had this theory that the Docker players were instructed to over-celebrate so as to get the crowd going. Yet too often they looked stupid as they went berserk after a meaningless goal.

Haven't followed his progress all that diligently but he's always looked like he belongs (as much as the majority of Melbourne players) when I have seen him.
Yeah, yeah. We lost. But you take the good when you can get it, and we weren't getting it from the 29 & 12 maggots.

He was rather exciting.
I assume he'll have that coached out of him.

What's "stepping up to progress it one week at a time" in Warlpiri?
The Jurralenko's had to change his name to Liam Jungarrayi From 300 km North of Alice Springs and English is his Third Language Jurrah.

What's happened to that fatty that played a few games last season for the Dees? Had that Northern Australian indiginous look about him.

I know where you are coming from, but there's something missing. Pace, for one. He just doesn't get enough of the agate.
