A "logical angle" in the PakTribune.
Regarding the death of Bob Woolmer in suspicious circumstances there is a lot of hearsay in reference to the murder; the commonest being the role of the 'bookies'. But I would like to mention another logical angle of this murder. The concerned authorities should keep in mind that it is quite possible that Darryl Hair and his compatriot Australian cricket team may be behind this murder, considering this as the most appropriate time to take revenge from the Pakistani cricket team for bringing an end to the empire's career. Therefore it seems imperative for the Caribbean police authorities that fingerprints and DNA samples of the Australian cricket team members should be taken as well.

And yes, it does say empire, I've got the screen-shot to prove it.
The same letter appears in Pakistan's International News, where the editor's name, Shakil-ur-Rahman bears a striking resemblance to the letter writer's, Shafiqur Rahman.
I guess Rahman is the Smith of downtown Rawalpindi.

Has Woolmer's body been lost yet?
When does Clouseau arrive to get to the bottom of things?

"I guess Rahman is the Smith of downtown Rawalpindi"
actually it is the 'Mike', Bill, Jack, etc.
Following your link was more interesting than the cricket question, when I got bogged down in the readers thread about the 'so-called' confession by KSM as they call him. Pak Trib reader suggests CIA masterminded WTC attack to make Muslims look bad.
... and I think
K.Packer and Woolmer
are working on OtherWorld XI ...

Are you a Sir or a Madam Tony?

Would it be very pedestrian of me to laugh at the obvious? Logical angle indeed! Give the man a prize awesome out-of-the-box thinking!

Yes, that is remarkably flexible thinking by old Shafiqur to blame someone other than CIA/Mossad for Bob Woolmer's murder. Who would have someone from that culture was capable of such originality and creativity? Personally, though, I think Bob Woolmer choked to death trying to swallow Inzi's excuse blaming the Crusades for Pakistan's loss to Ireland.

There ought to be a prize for conspiracy theories these days. Up there with the Pulitzer and Nobel Prizes. A World Cup even! Pakistan would be the natural heir to that throne...

We need to think of a name then, FM. Something short and snappy ought to do the trick. Bored subbies prepared to settle to yet another Something-Gate would plump for The Gateys, but there's got to be something better.
Summer, I've not been able to shake the feeling that Shaffy might just be pulling our legs.

I wonder if Pistol enjoys being a first classic cricket empire?
Posted by: Scott Wickstein | 07 April 2007 at 21:42
Pistol's still merely a local principality. Daryl Hair's a rebel state. Morgan Freeman's an empire.
