Did you know, no you probably didn't, that in 1987 when I was living in South London, at 6:00 PM each weeknight, there was a Carry On film on BBC 2. Now that was something to look forward to after a hard day at the office wasn't it?
Not quite so appealing is tonight's viewing at the same time -- "Jamie Theakston hosts a general knowledge quiz show in which contestants can lie and backstab as much as they want in an attempt to win thousands of pounds. Not knowing the answers doesn't always matter, because they can beg, borrow or steal them from their opponents." Who Wants To Be A Survivor? Sounds rivetting.
Did you also know, I'm sure this time you did, that in German "Carry On, Don't Lose Your Head" is translated as; "Tragen Sie an verlieren nicht Ihren Kopf"? Quite the little chortle.
Cranking up the laughs, should you translate that back, it would read; "Carry you to lose not your head". Those Germans. Now, that IS funny, I'm sure Sid James would approve.
Tone, you disappoint by not naming your favourite. Mine's Carry On Camping. Lots of opportunities, like tents falling down, to show Babs in her smalls.

Funny -- ho ho ha ha -- you should mention that, Slatts. CO Camping was on telly the other night. With the dodgy hippys, tent gags and all. I think possibly CO Sergeant or CO Constable were my faves.

Then you had the hilarious ITV compilation series Carry on Laughing, which featured Babs baps every other week.

I once worked in a building (Ministry of Health??) for an ill fated temp job which had only carry on pictures (from the medical ones natch) on the walls. It was very tempting to steal one I tell you. BTW - all original stills too.

I reckon they made too many of them 'carry on' fillums. 32 in fact. Nothing too funny about 'em, might be me but i missed the point.

Ahh Carry On...
Nobody does harmless schoolby smut like the poms.
Was Barbara Windsor in the news recently? Iseem to almost recall something about it.

Schoolboy smut, too. With a space between the words.

Baps. Hee Hee.
Ros, now THAT'S what I call a satisfactorily ergonomic work environment.
Brett, there's no point to miss. That's the point.
Sure was Dirk, she had a heart scare. Insert stethescope jokes here ___________________ .

I couldn't resist a Babs reference when Tony Windsor alleged he had been bribed with an overseas diplomatic post to not run in the election.

No one can resist Babs, Flute. Resistance in infantile.

Was ... At Your Convenience the one in the toilet factory? Classic viewing. Plenty of Kenneth Williams "Oooooooooooooh matron!" action.
And speaking of Williams has anyone got any of the old "Round The Horne" Julian and Sandy sketches with him in it? They were piss funny.

Primo ...
"The Carry On team throw caution to the wind and present an hour and a half of good. clean lavatorial humour.
Kenneth Williams is W.C. Boggs, the troubled owner of a small company trying to manufacture fine toiletware.
Incompetent management and a bolshy union are just about the least of Bogg's problems as you'll soon discover in this hysterical comedy that tells you everything you always wanted to know about your home's most vital convenience."
Julian and Sandy ...
